The SeaScape Terraces are located so conveniently to access any of a number of local facilities and places of interest in our area.A few minutes’ walk – north or south, or a few minutes’ drive – north or south will bring you to a number of locations to add fun and value to your holiday with us.
Sironit Beach
Netanya’s main beach, Sironit Beach is located below the Rishonim Promenade, accessible by the transparent sea elevator. Two breakwaters, a symbol of Netanya, are set up opposite the beach creating tranquil bays which enable safe swimming almost all year round. The beach is open mornings for early risers interested in exercising from 6:30 a.m.Sironit Beach is a lovely beach and attracts many visitors. The beach is located south of the central beaches in the city.
The beach opens at 06:30 in the morning and closes half an hour before sunset.At all of the central beaches, from Amphi Beach and up to Sironit B Beach, there are wave breakers to ensure a calm sea.

Parking your car at the beach costs 15 NIS on weekdays without time restrictions. On Saturdays and holidays entrance for the car is 25 NIS.

Lagoon Beach
The Lagoon Beach is across the road from the Lagoon apartments and West Lagoon hotel. Access to the Lagoon beach is from Ben Ami Boulevard, outside the SeaScape terraces. Ben Ami runs along the promenade.
The beach is an integral part of the South Beach/Matzok promenade.
On the beach there are:
life guard services,
open air gym equipment,
restroom,
first aid services and
a restaurant (that is under construction).
Parking is free.
The beach is accessible on foot from Sironit Beach or Poleg Beach.

South Netanya Promenade
Above the beaches of South netanya, the rugged cliffs are home to a long promenade overlooking the sea, a route that forms part of the national hiking and cycling route known as the ‘Israel Trail’ a marked walking path that extends the length of the country, from Hermon south to Eilat. This promenade is known as the South Beach or “Matzok” – translated from the Hebrew as “cliff”.
The promenade offers spectacular views from every point, and there are lawns, trees, picnic tables and play areas for children.The promenade begins north of the Carmel Hotel and provides an extensive view of the sea as well as a green landscape and seating areas.The promenade is also characterized by romantic seating areas at the foot of the sea and before the wild natural cliff rocks. In the promenade you can find a new playground area rich with games. The colorful paragliding site across from the Ramada Hotel extends to the south of the promenade, allowing for guided activities over the ridge.
Newly constructed elevator – 5 minutes walk from SeaScape TerracesAs part of the push to develop Netanya’s tourism infrastructure, a new elevator has been constructed which will descend from Mazok Promenade down onto the beach.This elevator will join the unique beach elevator already operating at the Rishonim Promenade. Aside from being a tourist attraction – it makes the sea fully accessible to disabled individuals as well as it allows them to descend in the elevator and then move down on a platform to the beach itself, and to move from a wheelchair to an amphibious wheelchair, designed especially to allow them to enjoy the water.
The elevator will bridge the 33-meter difference in height and will connect to the promenade through a high observation bridge. It will include two elevators that operate in a clear shaft, offering an unhindered view of the sea. The bottom of the elevator will open into a closed lobby that will exit onto the bottom observation balcony.

The Iris Reserve
The Iris Reserve is a unique natural reserve about 4 kms south from the SeaScape Terraces. This is the habitat of the largest concentration of purple irises in the entire world! The purple iris is undoubtedly one of the most impressive flowers that grows in our country, and its silhouette is the symbol of the Israeli Society for the Protection of Nature. These rare irises bloom here from mid-February until the end of March, surrounded by white broom shrubs, boxthorns, Sharon tulips and even common cyclamens. Its blooming period ends toward the beginning of May, but in the summer, you can still see various coastal flowers in bloom along the length of the high ridges. Most prominent is the aromatic sea daffodil, which is also Netanya’s city symbol.
The site is also home to various animal such as porcupines, mongooses and jackals, but you probably won’t see any of them as during the day, they hide in the thick brush, only coming out to roam at night.
There are two hiking trails at the site – the trail where colorful flowers are in bloom, recommended especially between January and May, and the soaring cliff trail, which provides an amazing overlook of the ocean and is wonderful all year round. The two trails connect to a sandy valley from which you can access the beach. There is one entrance from Ben Gurion Boulevard (under the steel bridge), and two more along the length of Uzi Chitman Street on the southern end of the reserve. At a comfortable pace, each of the trails takes about an hour.
The reserve is home to protected natural elements, so nothing should be collected and flowers should not be picked. Do not go off the marked trails and please do not leave litter behind. Help us keep the site naturally beautiful, and enjoy!
From the Iris Reserve, you can continue your day at Winter Lake Park, which connects to the Iris Reserve via an overpass steel bridge overlooking the entire region.

Victory Monument
The Victory Monument in Netanya is a mere 5-6 minute’s walk from the SeaScape Terrcaes. It is a memorial that marks the victory of the Red Army over Nazi Germany in World War II.
The monument was established by decision of the Government of Israel with the consent of the Russian government. The project was opened in 2012 by President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, after having been first proposed by the Prime Minister on a trip to Moscow in February 2010.The monument is believed to be the first memorial dedicated to the Red Army’s victory over German forces during the second world war, outside of former Soviet Union states. It is one of the most prominent features in the city of Netanya.
The memorial consists of two elements which symbolize the transition from darkness to light reflecting the Russian military victory to stop the Holocaust of the Jewish people, followed by the establishment of the Jewish state in Israel.
A representation of the Second World War is contained in black bunker. On the right describes the Holocaust, and on the left describes the war between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. At the end of the maze – the emergence into the light and open air, where white wings soar to the heavens as a symbol of victory, hope and peace, against the backdrop of Netanya’s coastline.

Winter Pond Park
Opposite the Iris Reserve, the Winter Lake (Pond) Park is a beautiful place for children and adults to spend time on a pleasant day, throughout the year.
This special winter pond is in the southern part of Netanya – about 3 kms from the SeaScape Terraces, east of the sandstone cliff found by the sea shore.
Every year, the winter rains flow into the pond area and make a small picturesque lake. The size and life-time of the lake depend on the amount of precipitation each year. During the spring months the “pond” attracts many travelers from all over Israel: nature lovers, painters, photographers, scholars and students.
In the small area of the pond, life begins a new each winter: crabs, daphnia and various water insects – as many as 20 species, come to life in the pond’s water.
More than 100 eucalyptus trees were planted around the pond in the 19th century and give a special look as they are ideal dwelling place for ravens, herons, crows and ring-necked parakeets.
In the park there is a games complex, fitness facility and around the lake – hiking trails for walkers and for cyclists.

Planetarium
The Planetanya planetarium has equipment and means of demonstration of the most advanced in the world. A compound for entertainment and experiencing for the whole family, combining a touristic and an educational attraction that encourages inspiration, imagination and development of thinking in a variety of activities and for a variety of ages.
“Planetanya” is a unique visitor center in the fields of science, space and astronomy and gives a glimpse of the fascinating world of Japanese culture. Visitors at “Planetanya” will enjoy a digital planetarium which has equipment and means of demonstration of the most advanced in the world, a Japanese garden, an interactive scientific garden, ecological ponds, a lecture hall and activity workshops.
“Planetanya” is spread over 7 acres and is designed in Japanese-style, bright and light.
